Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 20, 2026  ·  Last updated: June 20, 2026

1. Who we are

"TJS Design" is a brand/trade name used by Trevor Jared Spencer, an individual operating as a freelancer — it is not a separate registered company. This Privacy Policy describes how Trevor Jared Spencer, doing business as TJS Design ("TJS Design," "we," "us," or "our"), based in Salt Lake City, Utah, collects, uses, and shares information when you visit tjsdesign.online (the "Site") or purchase a custom website build or related services (the "Services").

Any contract for Services is directly between you (the client) and Trevor Jared Spencer personally, not a company entity.

If you have questions about this policy, contact us at:

2. Information we collect

Information you give us directly:

  • Contact form submissions — if you reach out through the contact form in our site footer, we collect your full name, phone number, and email address so we can respond to you.
  • Contact and billing information — your name and email address, provided when you start a purchase or book a call.
  • Payment information — when you pay for a website build (or the Site Management add-on), your card details are entered directly into a secure payment form provided by our payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store your full card number; we receive only your name, email, and a payment confirmation.
  • Scheduling information — if you book a discovery call, we collect your name, email, and the time slot you choose, which is used to create a calendar invitation (including a video call link).
  • Anything you tell us directly — details about your business, project, or requests you share by phone, text, or email while we're working together.

Information collected automatically:

  • We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use our Site — things like which pages are viewed, how long visitors stay, and general device/location information (city-level, not precise). Google Analytics uses cookies to do this. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or via the cookie/consent controls in your browser.
  • Our hosting providers (GitHub Pages) and backend infrastructure (Cloudflare) automatically log standard technical information for security and reliability purposes — things like IP address, browser type, and the date/time of a visit.
  • Our payment processor, Stripe, uses its own cookies and similar technology for fraud prevention — see Stripe's privacy policy linked below.
  • We do not currently use any advertising or remarketing pixels (such as a Facebook/Meta Pixel). If that changes in the future, we'll update this section.

We do not knowingly collect more than is necessary to run the business, and we don't collect sensitive categories of information (like health or financial account data beyond what's needed to process a payment).

3. How we use your information

We use the information above to:

  • Process payments and deliver the website build and any add-on services you've purchased
  • Schedule and conduct discovery calls and project check-ins
  • Communicate with you about your project, including updates, invoices, and support
  • Maintain records for accounting, tax, and legal compliance purposes
  • Improve our Site and Services

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

Confidentiality of your business information. Anything you share with us about your business while we work together — including revenue, financial performance, customer information, or other proprietary or sensitive business details — is kept confidential. We do not disclose, discuss, or share this information with other clients, contractors, or any other third party, except where required by law or with your written permission.

4. Who we share information with

We share information only with the service providers that help us run the business, and only as needed to provide our Services:

Each of these providers has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data:

We may also disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of TJS Design, our customers, or others.

5. How long we keep your information

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services, maintain business records, and comply with our legal and tax obligations (generally a minimum of several years for financial records, per standard accounting practice). If you'd like us to delete information that we're not legally required to keep, contact us and we'll honor that request.

6. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws like the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) or similar state privacy laws, including the right to:

  • Know what personal information we've collected about you
  • Request a copy of that information
  • Request that we delete it (subject to legal/financial recordkeeping requirements)
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — note: we do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of

To exercise any of these rights, email trevorspencer89@gmail.com. We'll respond within a reasonable time.

7. Children's privacy

Our Services are intended for business owners and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

8. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including relying on PCI-compliant, encrypted payment processing through Stripe rather than handling card data ourselves. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
